Heritage Winnipeg’s Spring Luncheon is tomorrow!

Tickets are still available if you wish to join us for an afternoon dedicated to the appreciation of Winnipeg’s diverse heritage structures.

While we enjoy a seasonal lunch in the distinctive Provencher Room at the Fort Garry Hotel, local developer Richard Walls will present on the topic of Renovation vs. Preservation: A Catalyst for Change and Causes for Concern.

Experience Twilight in the Exchange
After the event, we encourage you to continue enjoying Winnipeg’s heritage buildings by entering to win our Twilight in the Exchange raffle prize.

The gift basket includes everything you need for an unforgettable local experience in one of our city’s most vibrant quarters, the Exchange District.

Start off in Old Market Square with a walking tour for four hosted by the Exchange BIZ. When you’re finished, catch a flick courtesy of Winnipeg Film Group at Cinematheque, and head over to King’s Head Pub for some drinks and a late dinner. You wouldn’t guess, but they make some of the best butter chicken in the city! The signature English pub also hosts a variety of local musicians on their second floor, so you can end the night dancing to some local jams.

Or, you can enjoy a delicious dinner for two cooked from scratch by chef Tristan Foucault at the French-inspired Peasant Cookery. After you’ve had your fill of mussels and fine wine, take a walk over to the Centennial Concert Hall and enjoy two complimentary tickets to The Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s production of The Faerie Queen. Finish the evening with a one-night stay at Mere, Winnipeg’s newest boutique hotel, located right on Waterfront Drive.

If you feel like shopping, be sure to stop by Tara Davis Studio Boutique and browse the selection of handmade, local and Canadian products. Our gift basket includes some samples you can find in-store – natural bath products from Dirty Sisters Soap Company and Barefoot Venus. Keep shopping for Manitoban products at the Museum Shop after you use four free passes to either The Manitoba Museum Gallery, the Science Gallery, or the Planetarium.

After all that walking you’ll be ready to relax with some pub food and drinks courtesy of Fox and Fiddle at the old Bank of Toronto building. Or maybe you'd prefer a soothing 45-minute massage from Waterfront Massage Therapy. Top off the night by taking in The Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre’s production of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, opening this October.

The options for entertainment with our Twilight in the Exchange gift basket are as diverse as the buildings that make up this historic district. We can’t wait to help you explore the heart of our city in style with these remarkable local businesses!
